shes evolving

shes evolving

All our dreams have come true in this pink beauty!

Our poncho's have become attached to our bodies of late ... but now to be replaced by a longer softer version!

How magnificent is this dress!

And for $70 ... does life get better!?

tonight

tonight

A girls gotta love a good diffusion label.

The buyer (you!) benefits from all of the design, fabric and manufacturing contacts of the mother label but minus the original label price tag ... a girl has so much more to spend on shoes and cocktails!

We just landed the second winter delivery for Tonight by Illionaire.  The colour palette is lovely ... rusted peaches and spearmints.  Perfect under black layers for the Winter season.

Loving the strong shapes this label is using also.  Cut outs are featuring heavily again but in conjunction with clever fabric wrapping they tell a different story than that we've already seen in store.

Great quality fabric too.  Always a bonus.

the cameo performance

the cameo performance

Those who made it to GET YOUR POLLY ON may have had a little sneak preview of the beautiful CAMEO pieces ... but for those who didn't make it, here's a lil sneaky peak!

Loving the beautiful pastel palette the designer has worked with.  We're seeing gorgeous lavenders, nudes and feature flowers showing through in the designs.

Scallops!  This needs no explanation - scalloped hems are really getting my heart beating ... can't wait to see you girls in them!

Cut outs.  The skin peak is continuing for this season but in a softer more feminine manner.  We're seeing round or heart shaped cut outs continue for SS10 and are totally fluttering our eyes at them.

CAMEO is a brand new label in Oz and will hit the shelves July/August.

Eeee!  Chilly cold time!

We are unpacking the cutest capes and ponchos this week and having POLLY fun with all the new layering possibilities!

Our Winter layer tip offs ;

* Cape - a must have!

*  If not a cape, a poncho.

*  If not a poncho, an amazing boyfriend oversize blazer.

* Full length body suit - if they do it in Europe, we can do it here!

* Mest insert leggings.  V sporty.  V fun.

*  Thick, thick, super did we say thick black scarf!

* Fingerless gloves.  A little last year but still v fun.

*  Plus (super good keep warm tip) 1 x cute boy.

bohemian beauties

bohemian beauties

Think daisy's, think wild flower fields.  Pack your picnic and add your weave sun hat.

Your ready to hit the streets - love child style.

Here at POLLY we're always viewing forward season - whether it's via the new season showings or scouring the internet for the next new influence - we love to have it instore first for you.

Loving the 70's influence starting to appear.

We're seeing long high waisted rompers, sky high wedge heels, clogs, big sun hats, tiny round glasses, full length flares, bell sleeved tops ...  eeee!

Loving our vintage label CHERRY TOM for this influence - all very girly and unique (one off dresses made from vintage fabrics) ... we're layering them over body suits and looking for places to hire love buses.

hello poncho

hello poncho

So, we've been working the blazer for the Autumn season and moving into Winter now ... we're ready for NEWNESS.

Here at POLLY we're going to catch the cape train for Winter.  First stop?  Ponchoville.

Loving the Mexican influence in this little pretty.

I got these hot as wet look tights in NY - so I'm going to put it back with them.

Happy weekend everyone!

miss unkon SS

miss unkon SS

Just posted some backstage pics from the Miss Unkon 2010 display at RAFW.

I'm sure all of you have been following closely on various blogs and facebooks and are much more up to date than we are with all that happened in week that's just gone!

I've heard that Romance was Born was again amazing and have seen a few snaps of the Ksubi show (cool!) but of course .... OUR FAVOURITE ... will always be the super pretty creations of Courtney Meyer at Miss Unkon.

Man, this girl has worked so hard over the last 6 months to pull this together but what a beautiful achievement!  Do yourself a favour and have a Miss Unkon google - the show was so pretty and creative.  Just can't wait for it to land now!

FAVOURITE POLLY PIECE - pink layered cupcake dress!

the 50's silhouette

the 50's silhouette

We just got the cutest 'stepford wives' dress in.  Hello 1950.

It's all full flip skirts and knee length hems on the catwalk at the moment ... v.v. 50's.  Here at POLLY we'd love to hear your take on it all.

I just had a peep at the LV parade on style.com - they are channelling the 50's in a massive way.  Although I'm loving the prim skirts back with the corset suit tops and the kitten heels used in the styling ... I don't know how I feel about the oversize jacket combined with the full skirt - but hey - who am I to challenge Mr. Jacobs.

Anyways, I'm snatching the aqua version in our petal dress.  Now ... to find perfect kittens to match.

POLLY has long been a supporter of young independent designers.

The latest to debut on the shelves is CHERRY TOM - a delicious femme label, creating one off pieces from vintage fabrics.

We had a little bit of fun on the weekend and did a shoot with the new arrivals.

Check out our TUMBLR soon for a sneaky peak!

candy shop

candy shop

Candy colours are always a personal SS colour favourite!

Super soft and super sweet!

Here at POLLY we're very busy with SS showings at the moment.  And the candy palette is soooo much fun!

Loving sorbet pinks, lavender and lemon the best - we are choosing the prettiest dresses and camisoles for you!

Secret squirriels ... look forward to a new label called CAMEO that has worked with this influence particularly well.
